Barsatein Story / Plot Summary
Barsatein weaves a tale of ambition, trauma, misunderstandings, and love.
Aradhana Sahni is a journalist with big dreams, but she starts out stuck in a small news desk, doing celebrity gossip and airport coverage. When she tries to expose manipulations in the news world, she comes across Reyansh Lamba, the CEO of Nation True News — a man with strong opinions and a hardened attitude.
Initially, Reyansh is openly misogynistic and cold toward women, due to past family trauma — particularly the story of his mother’s secret love life, which left him feeling unloved. Aradhana, provoked by his behavior, challenges him.
However, fate brings them together when Aradhana ends up working in Reyansh’s company. Their contrasting personalities lead to clashes, misunderstandings, and growing feelings.
Complications increase when Pooja (Aradhana’s best friend) is romantically involved with Vikram, Reyansh’s friend. Reyansh misinterprets Aradhana’s closeness to Vikram and believes she might be involved with him.
Things worsen when a night together goes wrong: CCTV cameras record the event, and Reyansh accuses Aradhana of misconduct. The video is leaked, she is humiliated publicly, and forced to leave the city after discovering that she is adopted.
Aradhana flees to Dehradun, where she stays with Beena Aunty and learns more about her real mother — Malini Khanna. Meanwhile, Reyansh struggles with guilt, regret, and figuring out how to bring her back.
The show explores whether Aradhana and Reyansh’s love can survive these trials, whether trust can be rebuilt, and whether Aradhana will reclaim her life and identity.
