If you go online and search for the “MTV Splitsvilla Season 15” specifically, then you’ll find out that there is no such season, but in reality, it was dubbed as the Splitsvilla X5. And technically, it is the MTV Splitsvilla Season 15. And after the success of so many Splitsvilla seasons right here in India, it is like the showmakers are not looking to slow down. So here we are once again. This season 15, also known as Splitsvilla X5: ExSqueeze Me Please, came with an interesting twist, actually. How?
Well, this time, the show makers introduced the new concept of “Ex-Isle,” where they gave the place to some contestants’ ex-boyfriends and ex-girlfriends. And this was an interesting bit that hooked a lot of people out there to watch this season till the very end. This show went on for a few months, starting from March 30, 2024, and the finale was on August 11, 2024. You could easily watch it on the MTV India channel or stream it online on JioCinema. Splitsvilla Season 15 2024 Winner
Jashwanth Bopanna and Akriti Negi were the ones who won Splitsvilla X5. They were given the trophy as well as a ₹5 lakh cash prize.
Runners-up were Harsh Arora and Rushali Yadav. They reached the final task of the competition but were not able to proceed further.
The Big Finale Twist
At the end of the competition, there were three couples left: Jashwanth Bopanna and Akriti Negi, Harsh Arora and Rushali Yadav, and Digvijay Singh Rathee and Kashish Kapoor. The final task was about to be the center of attention when an unexpected twist arrived. Kashish Kapoor was presented with this option: take ₹10 lakh in cash immediately, abandon the competition, and keep her partner in the unknown. Can you figure out what she did? She grabbed the cash and walked away. As a result, their duo was no longer in the final, hence only Jashwanth and Akriti could compete against Harsh and Rushali.
The ending challenge was extremely difficult. Jashwanth and Akriti managed to cross the finish line ahead of Harsh and Rushali by only five seconds. That small difference not only made them winners of the Splitsvilla X5 title and the ₹5 lakh prize but also allowed them to be the champions of the evening. What a close call!
Hosts of Splitsvilla X5
Sunny Leone and Tanuj Virwani were the hosts of the current season, aka season 15. They were the ones to supervise the contestants as they completed tasks, inform them about eliminations, and generally maintain the pace of the season.
Compared to reality shows that focus on talent, the Splitsvilla show is not judged by a panel of fixed members. Nah, you see, the actual results are unpredictable because of the nature of the game, sudden turn of events, and choices made by hosts or special guests.
